Can training really work over video?
Yes — you are the one handling your dog either way. On video we can see your home, your routine and exactly where a cue breaks down, and coach you through it in the moment.
An hour of gentle, one-on-one coaching over video — in your own home, at your own pace, with your dog exactly where they're most themselves. Here's what happens and how to get ready.
You fill in a short note about your dog and what you'd like help with. We send a video link by email — no app or account needed, it opens right in your phone or laptop.
We talk through your dog's routine, history and the moments that feel hardest, and agree on what we'll work on together today.
Hands-on coaching. You handle your dog in your own home while we watch, coach and adjust in real time — timing, treat placement, leash handling, body language. We demonstrate on camera whenever it helps.
We recap what worked, set your homework for the week, and answer any lingering questions.
A written recap lands in your inbox with the exercises, how often to practise, and any handouts or short video clips you need.

The 30-minute session ($90) is best for one focused question or a homework check-in. The 60-minute session ($100) gives us time for a full history, two or three skills, and a written plan — it's the right choice for a first session.
That's useful information, not a problem. We'll work with whatever your dog gives us, and often the settling itself becomes the first lesson.
Only if you'd like us to. Just ask at the start and we'll send you the recording afterwards.
Let us know at least 24 hours ahead and we'll move it, no charge. Call (240) 812-8291 or email info@vailesk9academy.net.
